Team for Doncaster
It's anybody's guess what the line-up will be for this one, and there probably ought to be a prize for anyone who gets it right. We shouldn't take Doncaster for granted but on the other hand it might be worth giving a rest to certain key players - but which ones? And of course a game like this is always a good opportunity to give a run-out to fringe players or the odd youngster. It's also worth bearing in mind that we can use five subs, so if Moyes decides to ring the changes in the eleven, he can always bring on some experience from the bench.

I doubt that anyone will disagree that we need to look after Antonio, so I would rest him but have him on the bench if needed. So maybe Faux Bare's wish will finally be granted - let's see what young Odubeko can do.

For me, the big call is whether or not to rest Rice or Soucek. It has become hard to imagine this team functioning without them, so I would be inclined to start them both but look for the opportunity to take at least one of them off if we get ahead.

I would, however, give both full-backs a well-earned rest, creating opportunities for Fredericks (shop window?) and Johnson.

Randolph
Fredericks..... Balbuena..... Diop..... Johnson
Soucek..... Rice..... Noble
Yarmolenko... Odubeko... Benrahma

Subs: Trott, Coufal, Cresswell, Dawson, Ogbonna, Fornals, Lanzini, Antonio, Coventry (?).

He’s possibly brilliant Faux but I wouldn’t recommend pickIng someone I’ve never seen before unless I hadn’t a clue about football...

I'm wanting a highly rated youth player make his debut in a cup at home against lower league opposition, that's if he's fit and ready to do so.

You're just a thick cunt not to see that is how it is done a lot of the time these days.....John Lyall knew how to introduce the youth the best though....

Re: Team for Doncaster
I didn't see Tony Cottee play until he came onto pitch at Upton Park in 1983 to then score the winner against Spurs on his debut Freddie Sears is another in the PL. There's a load more West Ham players who came through our youth system who had excellent debuts in BIG games given the nod.

That's a big part of our history bringing through our youth football talent......but then you didn't know who John Lyall was.

The F.A.Cup is now seen as the best platform for making a debut along with the League cup, especially if up against lower division opposition.

What a THICK cunt you are Willwall.....

Same time as you, you thick cunt......

I’ve never seen him play so I guess you haven’t either? Surely the thick cunt is the one that wants him picked for an important cup game having not seen him!?

He seems a lot more lightweight than he should considering he scored well in a tough championship

Benrahma might actually score in this one?

Lertie Button - we have Afolayan, but he doesn't seem to be as highly rated as Mipo, despite being a bit older and more experienced.

Re: Team for Doncaster
Strong side. Keep a lot of consistency in the selection. Presume one or two players will be rested/rotated. We only scraped through the last round when we put pretty much our first 11 on. I don't care that we have a game on Tues - this is the FA Cup and it's good chance of silverware.

All we need to do is win 4 games to get to the final starting tomorrow. It's feasible.

But messing about aside, apart from Odubeko, have we any other strikers in the under 23s or 21s

Pony son.......is there anything better to do at the mo? I've done the daily exercise, done some work and in-between a bit of light hearted windmilling, whilst there's very little to discuss.

Faux Bare, stop hiding behind others...man up or change your username AGAIN....why was it the last time?

Good news about Kilo - thanks Alan. I doubt that he'll start but would like to see him get a decent length of time on the pitch, see what he can do.
